My Promise To You:

We all dream of a beautiful home that we enjoy to be in, but between the countless hours spent on YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest, millions of furnitures to choose from, and the constraints we face whether that is due to budget or space - it's easy to get lost, feel overwhelmed, and second-guessing yourself every step of the way because every decision you make means parting with your hard-earned money. Or worse! Perhaps you've bought furniture and decor but they didn't turn out as expected in your home.

Well, I've experienced that myself! Not everyone has a knack for good design, and I get it. I came from a finance & IT background, and I certainly didn't have a clue on how to design a room when I first started. But here's the thing, decorating a room is a skill that can be learned, and yes, those of you who has a natural talent can probably be the next Kelly Wearstler, but you don't have to be that good to be able to make your home a place that you enjoy being in. All it takes is understanding the principles, techniques, and knowing the right steps, as well as having the tools that can help you create a well-designed space.

There’s so many resources around theories, but not so much practical information on how to apply those theories to your own spaces. While I am going to guide you on the basic elements like colour, texture, scale, and light (because they are important after all!), I’ll also dive into the practical elements like:

  • Identify Your Own Unique Decorating Style

  • Developing Your Own Colour Palette (Not Just Colour Theory!)

  • How & where to find inspiration (and not get overwhelmed by it)

  • Visualise how things will look together

  • Key elements of a neutral room (avoiding the flat and boring trap!)

  • What to watch out for when buying or choosing a furniture or fixture

  • Using what you have & ways you can save money along the way

  • Common and costly mistakes to avoid

  • Thinking beyond looks and considering functionality and practicality

  • Tools & hacks you can use without a design background or knowledge of technical software

  • Applying your own finishing touches (Styling Tips & Tricks)

Basically everything that allows you to execute your decorating project in your own unique taste and style while working with the constraints of your home, rather than just knowing how to plan a beautiful abstract space. After all, like everything in life, it is through the act of doing that we actually learn, progress, and see results.
